Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Evaluate and report on prospective students based on approved selection criteria and generate reports together with the head of special education
2. Evaluate the admitted children and prepare intervention plan for each child including admission, progress, and exit.
3. Execution of the plan accordingly to attain a maximum level of independence in the child
4. Modify the plan according to the requirement of the child in consultation with immediate supervisor.
5. Develop daily intervention plans in discussion with immediate supervisor; maintain daily progress reports and activity reports for each child.
6. Writing patient case notes and reports;
7. Educating and advising patients and their care takers about how to prevent and/or improve conditions;
8. Keeping up to date with new techniques and technologies available for intervention;
9. Referring children who require other specific medical attention.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Have successfully completed and graduated from an accredited physiotherapy professional program recognized by national governments and have completed all fieldwork requirements.
Three years of experience as an physiotherapist, preferably in school system or other pediatric practice setting handling children with special needs.
Extensive on-hand experience in handling children with special needs
Initial certification by National Board for Certification or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
At least Three (3) years of experience in similar work in similar setting, preferably in a single organization.
LANGUAGE/S
Fluency in English. Knowledge of any other language is considered as an asset.
